Charalampos Kiourtzidis graduated with honours from the School of Forestry and Natural Environment of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki in 2021, with specialisation in Forest and Water Engineering. During his studies -specifically during the years 2017 and 2019-, he participated in the Erasmus+ programme, studying at the Czech University of Life Science in Prague, in the fields of Forestry and Wood Sciences and Environmental Sciences, respectively. During the summer months of his studies, he did also complete internships in the university forests of Taxiarchis in Halkidiki and Pertouli of Trikala in Greece, where he had direct contact with the natural environment.
His collaboration with the Cyprus Energy Agency began in April 2021, with an internship on Environmental Impact Assessment Studies and Renewable Energy Sources, as a member of the Environment and Climate Change team. Charalampos was officially employed by the Cyprus Energy Agency in September 2021. From 2023, he is part of the Agency’s Grant Scheme that promotes the resilience and adaptation to climate change of communities in Cyprus and is funded by the Resilience and Recovery Fund, and he is involved in European co-funded projects.
